Before you step in
What is Shervoid?
A world you travel through by scrolling, with nine places on the road, five side rooms and thirty residents to meet. It runs in the browser, and there is nothing to install. The story tells how it began, and the lore explains how it works.
How do I move?
Scroll with a mouse or trackpad, or drag with a finger. The arrow keys, Page Up, Page Down and Space move one stop; Home and End jump to the start and the end. The map shows every open place, and Travel here takes you straight to it.
How do I meet a resident?
Click or tap one when the camera stops beside them. Your hands appear only for that greeting and drop as soon as you move on. You can also open Residents and choose Talk.
What are traces?
Ten small things along the road that move as you pass. A gold spark marks the ones you have not found yet. Click one and it goes into your Notes, which keep count of what you have found.
How do I find the side rooms?
Five doors lead off the road. In a place that has one, a gold light with Step in waits on the door itself, or at the edge of the screen with an arrow toward it.
What happens to my ticket?
You get it in the ticket hall, and each resident you greet punches it. At the observatory at the end of the road you can print it with your name and keep it as an image.
Are the residents the real projects?
No. They are fan portraits of memes that live on Robinhood Chain, and their roles here are fiction. Each resident card links to the project itself.
Is Shervoid connected to Robinhood?
No. Shervoid is fan-made and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood Markets, Inc. or its people. The keeper of thresholds is a fan tribute and has no part in this project.
Is there a token?
Not yet. On launch day its name and contract will be printed on the Token page. Until then, any token that calls itself ours is not ours.
Do I need a wallet?
No. Nothing on this site asks you to connect a wallet, sign a message or pay. If a page that looks like this one asks for that, close it.
Is anything here financial advice?
No. Resident cards show market data from public sources, and it can be late or missing. Meme tokens can lose all of their value.
It runs slowly on my device. What can I do?
Open Settings and choose Move between still views: the camera then goes from one resting view to the next. Turning off High image quality or the Film look helps too. If your system asks apps to reduce motion, Shervoid starts with still views.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, held upright or sideways. The first visit loads the models, so on a slow connection it can take about a minute before you can step in.
Is there sound?
Yes. It stays off until you turn it on with Sound at the top of the screen, or in the Menu on a smaller screen.
What does Shervoid keep about me?
Only your progress and your settings, in your own browser. There are no accounts. About lists exactly what is kept and who sees what.
